In an eloquent and passionate article that appeared in the Washington Post this week to mark the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, Admiral Mike Mullen, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff discusses sacrifice and the cost of war in its human toll. His words should be read by all Americans, but especially by those who wear the cloth of the nation or love someone who has.
