Marine Corps Marathon priority registration opens Feb. 19 with 15% discount, limited bibs

General registration for this year’s Marine Corps Marathon will be through a lottery, but active-duty and reservist runners will still register on a first-come, first-served basis starting Feb. 19.

There will be a “limited number” of priority bibs, said race spokesperson Tami Faram, and once those slots are filled military runners will have to registration through the public lottery.

General registration — through new vendor RaceIt — will be open from Feb. 23 to March 15. Lottery winners will be notified March 19.

General registration will be $110 for public, but members of the military who sign up during early registration will get a 15% discount from sponsor GEICO, dropping the cost to $93.50.

Also opening Feb. 19 are the Marine Corps 17.75K, which will give finishers over the age of 14 a guaranteed entry to the marathon, and the MCM History Half in Fredericksburg, Va.
